PUPPIES
In order to maintain a high quality of our dogs' physical and mental health, we constantly want to develop ourselves and renew our knowledge in dog breeding and training through training and courses. In addition to the fact that we believe it is important to be further developed, it is also very fun to gain new knowledge and get to know other dog lovers and breeders with whom we can create good relationships. Through education, in addition to knowledge, self-confidence and confidence in one's own abilities also increase. This gives us the opportunity to try new things and then also acquire new experiences. Here we have collected our best tips on books, educations, lectures and courses that we have taken part in and based our business on.

In the spring of 2019, Linda SKK's dog breeder training took place at Nordskånska kennel club. We can warmly recommend this training to anyone who works with dogs and dog breeding. Education is based on the book "Dog breeding in theory and practice" written by Åsa Lindholm, Catharina Linde Forsberg and Ingalill Blixt which covers just everything from dog keeping and breeding work to puppy sales with rights and obligations, as well as the valuable evaluation and quality work of the litter once the puppies have grown up. In addition to well-trained course leaders who could be asked questions, there were also course participants with many years of experience in dog breeding, who were more than happy to share their knowledge. A course that we will take several times to keep up to date.

In March 2019, Lena Erlandsson lectured at the Sydskånska Kennel Club on the exciting subject of color genetics. A topic that interests us because all colors are not allowed and show should be avoided based on other health aspects such as deafness and temperament because the color is affected by different locus; A, B, C, D, E, G, H, K, M, S and T.
Lena is an experienced and inspiring lecturer who talks about and illustrates the subject in a clear way, even though it is quite complicated with all the terms and difficult concepts that must be understood. The lecture gave a good insight into color genetics.

The book "Nosework - everything you need to know" is written by Helena Lindhe and Britt Nylund in order to be a good course complement for everyone in the sport of nosework, both competition crews and beginners or for those who want to use nosework as activation.
The book is clear in its description of exercises and learning methods and contains many inspiring tips and ideas for the creative dog owner. A good book that can be read several times.

In March 2020, Linda took a basic course in Nosework with Storm with Annica at Optimal hundglädje. The course was divided into 6 occasions and located in Hjärnarp's dog hall. The participants had to try all the search steps several times during the course and had to do many practical exercises that you could easily practice at home as well. Each course opportunity started with a review of the search steps we were to work on and ended with a reassembly. There were also opportunities to ask questions and watch when the other course participants completed the search with their dogs, very informative and useful. Annica also filmed the course participants so that you could see how you worked with your own dog and what you might. needed to train more. A fun course that is highly recommended for those who want to activate their dog's brain and bring a tired and satisfied dog home.

In April 2020, we carried out our first BPH and it was with Storm at Örkelljunga's Working Dog Club. An educational and useful opportunity to get to know your dog's strengths and weaknesses. We will report all of our puppies to BPH at 12-18 months of age to be able to evaluate the litter's mentality. As a breeder with a registered kennel, you can be awarded a diploma after between five and ten dogs from your own breeding have completed BPH. This is of course something we are aiming for.

The book "Rally obedience - from basic skills to master" is written by Anna Larsson and it provides a good theoretical complement to those who practice the dog sport rally obedience, both competition crews and beginners or for those who want to use the rally obedience elements to get a good basic obedience and contact with his dog. The book is easy to read and contains pictures of all the elements in each class as well as a clear description of these. At the end of each class there is also an associated track sketch that you can train with your dog.

In August 2020, Linda and Storm attended an advanced course in Nosework with Annica at Optimal hundglädje. The course was divided into 6 occasions and located in Hjärnarp's dog hall. The participants had to try all the search steps several times during the course. For Storm's part, there was a lot of training of dog meetings as well . Each course opportunity started with a review of the day's exercises and a walk and ended with a reassembly. Then there were also opportunities to ask questions. A fun course as a continuation of the Nosework basic course. We can warmly recommend this course to those who want to continue with Nosework and raise the bar a notch with more difficult hides. The course ended with a training competition between the course participants.

In December 2021, Linda and Thomas participated in the webinar "Prepare your dog for the New Year". Our dogs are not afraid or anxious about rockets or shots, but it was nevertheless an interesting lecture that went into how dogs experience New Year's Eve through their senses . Afterwards, they had a little more tips and tricks in their back pockets for the future. Had probably wanted a little more in-depth and maybe a movie sequence that showed some examples of how dogs early signals.

In December 2021, Linda and Thomas also participated in another webinar " Loneliness Training" with ethologist Victoria Källström from etolog.se. The lecture was full of tips and tricks, as well as what to think about in solitude training and why training is so important. She also agreed to show races need it more than others, which raised some new thoughts and questions with us. Examples of whether this can be bred in these breeds or is it environmentally dependent and must be trained more for certain breeds?
